Potassium isoamyl xanthate is a strong collector which is used in the flotation of non-ferrous metals that require strong collecting power without selectivity. It is a good collector in the flotation of oxidized sulfide ore or copper oxide and lead oxide ore (vulcanized with vulcanizing agent). The flotation effect on Cu-Ni sulfide ore and gold-pyrite ore is also good.
