It is used in the flotation of lead-zinc ores in the mineral processing industry. In the flotation section of lead-zinc mines, zinc sulfate is used to inhibit zinc leaching in the first step of lead selection. It is also widely used in the biopharmaceutical industry to remove high molecular weight impurities such as proteins from tetracycline filtrate, making it a reliable and stable purification agent.
